I think the family transportation, in Cornwall, was the two Dutch bicycles that came over the ocean in the big wooden crate with mom and dad,s other personal belongings. Where we lived was on the edge of the city limits. It was just a short bike ride in to the business section of the city. I don\u2019t think we had a car until almost the end of the Aultsville era. Dad has said to me that when they left Oudega, his hometown, in Holland, there were only two cars in the town. The Doctor had one. The other one was a taxi. Bicycles were such a popular and natural way to travel. Canada, was so different because almost every family had a car.
